This evening Valverde met the media in a press conference very special and particular due to the politic atmosphere around the referendum scheduled for tomorrow. A very important day, tomorrow, for Barcelona and Barça. From a side we have the most important moment for the Catalunya’s chances to be indipendent and separated from Spain; To the other side, the same day, the team is playing a game with Las Palmas, important to pursue the road to solidify the top of the Liga’s ranking. So two very important events for the City of Barcelona.
Of course a lot of questions, made to the trainer, were about the referendum and the politic question. Valverde has been clear about that. Speaking about Piqué, and his post over the indipencia for Catalunya, he expressed his idea: “All people are free to express their opinion, and this is for Piqué too”. “All opinions deserve to be respected”.
The trainer tryed to evoid to speak about the Guardiola’s statement on his endorsement of the feelings of catalan people about the indipendence and their right to vote, trying to address the conference towards a football side. Valverde, with a nice joke, responded that he wanted avoid to be in trouble speaking about certain topics.
From this point a view he said that tomorrow he expects a normal football day, not thinking in a different Camp Nou than all other matchdays. He addresses the issue of Deulofeu and some other players like Sergi Roberto and Semedo.
